CONNECTING PC TO TV

DISPLAY

A Family Room TV is essentially the same as a monitor.

OPTION 1
CABLES (HDMI/DISPLAY PORT)

Connect your PC to the TV with HDMI or DisplayPort cables. Please follow their instructions on how to do this properly.

OPTION 2
SCREEN CASTING

Screen casting can help to connect the Video and Audio from your device to your TV.  But there are limitations to this.

Due to digital rights management (DRM) restrictions, copyrighted material cannot always be mirrored or screencast to your TV, thus wireless technologies won’t always work with streaming services.

Not all TVs support screen casting. Please refer to your TV's instructions to find out if casting is supported.

AUDIO

For audio you can hook it up to the speakers or TV through HDMI, Bluetooth or with the Headphone out jack, depending on what is supported by your devices and TV.  Please follow their instructions on how to do this properly.

KEYBOARD/MOUSE

Input methods would be typical Keyboards and Mice.

Simplified keyboards and mice that are more geared for TV viewing in the Family Room.

Here are some examples of many available:
